About

Here at Clinical Edge, we believe that when your clinical skills are supported and progressed with great education, you will achieve the best results from your treatment.

You will feel fulfilled and confident, and this will lead to even better patient rapport and improve your results even further.

We want our education to inspire you to innovate new ways to assess and treat patients. Our education is presented so that you can use the clinical tools straight away, and then use this to develop your own unique clinical approach.

We will help you build a great framework and clinical reasoning ability, and then support you with ongoing education to keep building your knowledge and keep you up on the cutting edge of treatment tools available.

Recent History

Clinical Edge started life as Physiotherapy Healing Solutions in 2006, in response to David Pope’s love for continuing education. Here's what he has to say about it:

I have the best job in the world! Every day I get to help Physios and other manual therapists to become better therapists and feel more confident in the clinic.

I love seeing every therapist come away from a course excited to be able to use the skills they have learnt immediately. I feel that attending and using the information in  a course keeps you enthused in the clinic, and then creates enthusiastic patients and a lot of satisfaction at work. Being a part of this learning experience gives me a lot of satisfaction."

In 2010, Physiotherapy Healing Solutions rebranded to Clinical Edge, expanding the clinical education we provide, and providing better access to fantastic education with our specialised eLearning program. We felt the name Clinical Edge represented our education program – giving you an edge in the clinic, and being on the cutting edge of clinical progress.

We wanted Physiotherapists to be able to access great education wherever and whenever they chose, without travelling large distances, battling with traffic, and trying to fit their life around it.

With the difficulties of getting to evening lectures and conferences, we knew there must be an easier way for Physiotherapists to keep progressing their knowledge and skills. eLearning is an amazing way to receive education, and we realize it does not replace face-to-face learning, but is a brilliant addition to it.

You receive up to date information with a practical focus in your own home or at your clinic, and then have tools you can use with your patients and practice with your colleagues.

David is a Physiotherapist with a private practice in Terrigal, NSW.  He has worked internationally throughout Australia and the UK treating musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction, following his graduation from the University of Sydney in 2000.

He has extensive training and experience in treating a wide variety of conditions, particularly  Lumbo-Pelvic and Cervico-Thoracic-Rib Cage dysfunction and pain, as well as dry needling. His patients include national and international level Karate competitors, swimmers and mountain bike riders. David enjoys video analysis of his patients activities, including running and riding, and using these tools to get great carryover of treatment into patients activities and lives.

David recognised there was a limited amount of postgraduate short-course education available in Australia with a practical, hands on focus to treating musculoskeletal conditions, and because he loved courses so much, became involved in organising and co-ordinating courses for manual therapists to assist in their development of assessment and treatment skills.

David has interests in surfing, snowboarding, mountain bike riding, karate, strength training, is an avid reader, and has also taught meditation and relaxation.
