Clare Walsh B.App.Sc (Physio); M. Health Science (Sports Physio)
Australian Olympic Team Physiotherapist

Clare graduated from physiotherapy in Sydney in 1988 and has specialised as a Sports physiotherapist completing her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2001. For the past 15 years Clare has worked with athletes of all levels including the elite level in AFL, Rugby League and Olympic athletes. She was part of the Australian team in two Winter Olympic Games - Nagano and Salt Lake City and the Summer Olympic Games in Athens 2004.
In 2009 and 2010 Clare became a physiotherapist with the Football Federation Of Australia (Soccer) touring to Holland with the men’s paralympic team and subsequently returning to work at the AIS with the Young Matilda’s (Australian women’s under 20’s).

Also in 2009 Clare was invited to work with the cast of Chicago the Musical (Sydney season) and Avenue Q working with the actors and dancers in both companies.

This year Clare is taking on athletes of a different kind participating in research on core stability programs with Sydney based symphony orchestra’s. She has also been part of the physiotherapy team at the Sydney Swans for 12 years.

Clare uses her skills of massage, mobilisation and exercise prescription (with an emphasis on core stability) to ensure recovery from injury, prevention of further injury and promotion of general well being. She is a trained Clinical Pilates instructor with 7 years of teaching experience. Clare currently works with Quaytherapy (www.quaytherapy.com.au) in Sydney

 

Nichole Hamilton

Nichole Hamilton is an experienced physiotherapist that has worked nationally and internationally since 1997. Nichole developed the post-operative protocol for hip arthroscopy with orthopaedic hip specialist Dr Michael O’Sullivan. She has a clinic in Queensland, and consults with Northern Sports Physio, North Sydney.

Nichole presents the  Irritable Hip course - conservative and surgical management incorporating the Lumbar spine and pelvis, co-ordinated by Clinical Edge. Nichole will present on numerous occasions for our eLearning program on topics including;

  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
  • Assessment of the Pelvis
  • Postural Assessment and reeducation

 

 

David Pope

David is a Physiotherapist with a private practice in Terrigal, NSW - Physiotherapy Healing Solutions.  He has worked internationally throughout Australia and the UK  treating national and international level Karate competitors, swimmers and mountain bike riders. David enjoys video analysis of his patients activities, including running and riding, and using these tools to get great carryover of treatment into patients activities and lives. David graduated from the University of Sydney in 2000, and has extensive training and experience in treating a wide variety of conditions, particularly  Lumbo-Pelvic and Cervico-Thoracic-Rib Cage dysfunction and pain, as well as dry needling. David tutors on the Dry Needling Plus Level 1 and 2 courses with Andrew Hutton since 2007, and uses needling regularly in his clinical practice. David has lectured at the Mountain Sports Conference in Niseko, Japan in February 2011 on topics including;

  • Mountain Bike injuries, setup and training
  • Snowboarding injuries and rehabilitation
  • Knee reconstruction techniques, prehab and rehab
  • Lumbo-pelvic assessment and treatment

David lectures on various eLearning topics, including;

  • Mountain Bike injuries, setup and training
  • Hip injuries and treatment of Martial artists
  • Upper Cervical Spine
  • Knee reconstruction techniques
     

David has interests in surfing, snowboarding, mountain bike riding, karate, strength training, is an avid reader, and has also taught meditation and relaxation. 

David is the founder and CEO of Clinical Edge and Physiotherapy Healing Solutions, and has a passion for continuing education for Physiotherapists, and improving the standard of Physiotherapy in Australia and abroad.

 

 

Russell Wright

A Physiotherapist with a special interest in the Foot and Ankle, Russell graduated from the University of Sydney in 2000. Russell owns Central Coast Foot and Ankle Physiotherapy, and Ocean View Physiotherapy, Wamberal, NSW.

Russell has a passion for treating runners, analysing running technique and using visual and video analysis to help runners recover from and avoid injury. Russell has lectured at the Mountain Sports Conference,  Niseko, Japan (February 2011) on topics including:

  • Lower Quadrant Biomechanics, movement analysis and treatment
  • Cross Country Running - Lower limb biomechanics
  • Video analysis of running
  • Ankle and talar dome injuries in snowboarding
  • Taping and bracing for snow sports

Russell also presents on various eLearning topics, including:

  • Low dye taping
  • Achilles tendinosis in runners
  • Plantar Fasciosis
  • Ankle Rehabilitation

Cameron Elliott - Physiotherapist
 

Cameron Elliott is an accredited service provider to the New South Wales Institute Of Sport as a physiotherapist, working with the state’s top 750 elite athletes, coaches and managers. Cameron is a full-time employee of Sydney Sports Medicine Centre where he treats all musculoskeletal injuries that result from sport, work or lifestyle activities. Cameron is an active member of Sports Physiotherapy Australia- a sub-group of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, he is currently the chairperson of the NSW state committee.

Cameron has years of experience of working with elite and professional sports. His experience includes working for the Institute of Sport Mens Hockey program during their domestic season and on international tours. Cameron also works for The New South Wales Hockey Association during their U21and National Hockey League campaigns, with the world champion and Olympic gold winning Kookaburras Mens Hockey team and the Mens U21 Australian Hockey team. Cameron's previous appointments include team physiotherapist to; the West Sydney Razorbacks basketball team (previously competing in the National Basketball League), the Cumberland Beavers Rugby League Football Club and the Singapore Olympic swimming team (2008). He does periodic work for the Saint Kilda Saints football club; competing in the Australian Football League. Cameron works regularly with national level swimming squads and for the New South Wales Gymnastics Association.

Cameron is an accomplished lecturer and teaches for institutions such as Sports Medicine Australia, Australian College of Physical Education and Hills Street Group. In addition to his formal appointments he regularly presents speeches to coaches concerning sporting injuries and prevention.

Cameron’s strengths are in his strong scientific based approach to injury assessment and management. He utilises a hands on approach of manual treatment, which includes soft tissue and myofascial releases, joint and spinal mobilisations and manipulations, dry needling, muscle energy techniques, exercise prescription and if required, the use of real time ultrasound to provide visual feedback on muscle contraction patterning- a treatment most applicable for training core stability.

Cameron has a keen interest in the specific requirements of each sport on the individual; biomechanics and kinematics of required movements and typical injuries that may result from differences in these factors. Cameron has skied for most of his life, played club level Australian Rules Football and is a passionate motorcyclist.


 

Dr Sean Khoury MBBCh DABR FRANZCR

Sean joined PRP Diagnostic Imaging in 2001. He graduated from The University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 1992 and undertook his residency and radiology training in the USA at the Wake Forest University.

Sean continued at the hospital with a fellowship year in musculoskeletal imaging and cardiac MRI.

Sean's current special interests are in interventional radiology and MRI.
