Internet Explorer is having multiple problems currently. If you are using Internet Explorer, we recommend using other great free browsers such as Firefox from www.mozilla.org or Chrome from www.google.com/chrome for all your web browsing, including the Clinical Edge website.
If you are using Firefox or Chrome and having issues, please phone or email us at info@clinicaledge.com.au or 1300 253343

You will have to enter your credit card details for each course you enroll on, as for security purposes, we do not store your credit card details
We use the highest level encryption for our website, and for security reasons, we also do not store your credit card details. For this reason you will need to put your credit card details in when booking a course. You do not need to enter your credit card details each month for your membership, as this sets up an automatic transaction with your bank - credit card details are not stored on our website for this either.
We can provide two logins for the price of one, with a minimum of three paid subscriptions. All you have to do is create a membership for half of the people in the clinic, and email the names and email addresses for the free memberships to info@clinicaledge.com.au and we will create their free logins for you. So, if there are 6 Physiotherapists, create memberships for three staff, and we will create 3 free logins for the other memberships.

Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Podiatrists and Sports Doctors are the only professions eligible to attend Dry Needling Plus Level 1 & 2 courses. Other professions are NOT eligible to attend these courses, including exercise Physiologists, massage therapists and remedial therapists.
Massage/Remedial therapists are not eligible to attend courses currently conducted by Clinical Edge, including the Dry Needling Plus Level 1 & 2 courses.
Explain Pain is suitable for all of these professionals, as well as
Because the palpation and needling is different to any other course, we have found that even people with previous needling experience get a lot out of the Dry Needling Plus Level 1 course, and the specific skills picked up on this course are heavily utilised in the Level 2 course. For these reasons, the Dry Needling Plus Level 1 course is required prior to attending the Level 2 course for everybody. From feedback from participants that have done other needling styles and acupuncture, they have still found the Level 1 course to be great. If you would like you are able to do the Level 1 & 2 consecutively over 4 days, or separately.
No. You are unable to attend any of our courses, and you will receive the same answer on the phone.
Dry needling is not contraindicated in patients who are pregnant but there are precautions which need to be observed. The nature of the dnp training programme requires that a far greater amount of needling be received during a 2-4 day period than would ever be received by a patient in a normal treatment setting.
It is essential to the programme that all course participants be able to receive the same amount of dry needling, without any risk of adverse effects. It is not fair to other course participants for someone who is pregnant to expect to be able to practice on others but to restrict the type, or amount of practice they wish to have done on themselves.
Pregnant women are unable to attend Dry Needling Plus courses. Anyone who becomes pregnant after registering for a course must contact Clinical Edge immediately. If you do attend a course whilst pregnant you will be unable to participate and will therefore not satisfy the training criteria.

Yes. The Dry Needling Plus courses have current APA Accreditation. As an APA Accredited course, APA members will receive 32 points for a two day course (two points per hour), and for non-APA members this is relevant for your Indemnity Insurance - ie meets all the current standards of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Yes, the Dry Needling Plus courses are approved for category 1A with the AOA (Australian Osteopathic Association).
Yes, we have received direct confirmation from AHPRA that the Dry Needling Plus Level 1 and 2 courses count towards your official CPD hours.
Yes, if you successfully pass the written and practical exam in the course. The Dry Needling Plus courses have current APA Accreditation, and meet insurance requirements to needle with most insurance companies. We recommend advising your insurance company that you are now needling.
1 point per hour (16 points for two days) for courses and also for time spent watching our eLearning program.
It sure does. The eLearning program is an acceptable form of education counting towards your National Registration training requirements. You can view your training log from within your dashboard and you can print this out for your CPD portfolio/requirements.
32 points for a two day APA Accredited course (ie two points per hour) and 1 point per hour (16 points for two days) for courses that are not formally APA Accredited.
Yes. Our courses are very practical, you will receive 1 APA CPD point per hour (16 points for two days) for these courses and you will be able to use what you learn in your Physiotherapy practice.
Yes, the Dry Needling Plus course material and techniques can be used in Physiotherapy practice in the UK. The CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, as at February 2010) has confirmed that you are able to work within your scope of practice ie if you have received training in Dry Needling Plus or any other course, and have a certificate (which you will receive at the end of each course) you can then use Dry Needling in the UK.
Go to the Courses and Events section of the website. Each course will list the venue where the course is to be held. You will receive detailed aaainstructions regarding the course and how to get to the venue after you enroll. If you require a map and directions to the venue which are not found on the link, please put the venue address into www.maps.google.com.au
Please refer to the Courses and Events section of the website. Click on the Name of the course, which will take you to an information page which contains the start and finishing times. This will also be on the email confirmation you receive following enrollment.
No. Accommodation can be booked directly through the venue. Some venues will offer discounts for course attendees by mentioning this course eg Peppers Christchurch.
Advanced courses eg Dry Needling Plus Level 2 or Advanced Pilates and Matwork are not compulsory, or required to be able to practice a particular skill. These courses will progress your skill level and enable you to learn more advanced assessment and treatment. Dry Needling guidelines outline that you are only able to needle areas that you have received formal training in, thus if you wish to treat the Thoracic Spine, or Scalenes etc, you must complete the Level 2 training to be able to do this . More advanced exercises and assessment are taught in the Advanced Pilates Mat & Ballwork course, as well as the use of RTUS (please refer to Course Outlines for further information on each course)
Based on feedback from many course participants, you must attend the Dry Needling Plus Level 1 course to be able to attend the Dry Needling Plus Level 2 course. If you have done another form of dry needling or acupuncture, you will still get a lot out of the Level 1 course. People that have attended the Level 1 and Level 2 courses that have previously attended the APA Acupuncture course and other needling courses gave extremely positive feedback about their experience, and were glad they did it. Attending the Level 1 course is required prior to attending the Dry Needling Plus Lvel 2 course, due to needling and assessment techniques being taught by Dry Needling Plus that are not taught on any other courses, you will pick up a lot more of this Dry Needling approach and increase your needling effectiveness by attending both courses.
Dry needling Plus level 2 courses are only open to Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and Sports Doctors. Massage Therapists are NOT able to attend any of the Dry Needling Plus Level 2 courses conducted through Clinical Edge.
Please address technical difficulties you may be having to admin@dryneedling.com.au
Please DO NOT contact Clinical Edge with any Dry Needling Plus technical difficulties, we are unable to assist you with these. If you have any difficulties with www.clinicaledge.com.au however, we are able to help you with these, and please do not hesitate to give us a call or send us an email.
